What is adoption

What is adoption?

Adopting a child means taking them permanently into your home, bringing them up as your own and becoming their legal guardian, their parent. That is why there is a thorough adoption process to go through before you can officially adopt your child.

Occasionally, opportunities arise where Early Permanence (Fostering to Adopt) is in the best interests of the child.

Children awaiting adoption need loving, stable homes. They need dedicated parents who will stick by them through the good times and the bad. They need support and love to help them overcome their troubled start in life, to help them make sense of who they are and allow them to grow up knowing they are safe and secure.
